Dodson Students To Appear on TV Show
Six Dodson students will appear on Aunt Molly & Friends, a new children’s television show coming to Channel TV20 Detroit. Each half-hour episode will be filmed at the Oakland Mall studio (Troy) in front of an audience comprised of children from the Metro-Detroit community. The first show on the set will be filmed in September and children ages 6 to 10 are invited to be part of the studio audience.
Link Crew Welcomes Freshmen
For students of the P-CEP Class of 2014, it was not a question of, “Do I get up and go to school when the alarm clock rings?” but rather, “How loud do I sing?” The music was blasting in the Canton, Plymouth and Salem gyms, and junior and senior Link Crew leaders – green shirts and all – were encouraging participants with no pre-conditions.
District Seeks Community Input On New Mission, Vision and Belief Statements
The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is seeking input from the community to revise the District Mission and Vision statements. The current statements read as follows:
Dodson Elementary School Welcomes New Principal
Dodson Elementary School is excited to introduce Mrs. April Quasarano as the new principal. Mrs. Quasarano was an elementary teacher in Howell, and a principal in Wayne-Westland before joining the team at Dodson. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, a master’s degree from Michigan State and a specialist degree from Eastern Michigan. She lives in Plymouth with her husband Jimmy, daughter Madelyn and dog Bella. Dodson parents are welcome to Open House on Sept. 1 at 5:30 p.m. to meet Mrs. Quasarano!
Bus Stop Postcards Mailed to Homes
Students in grades 1-12 eligible for bus transportation were mailed a personalized postcard with their bus stop information today (Aug. 17, 2010). Please allow 7-10 days to receive your postcard via US Postal Service. Kindergarten students will receive a phone call from their bus driver with their bus stop information. The postcard is printed on cream cardstock and will look similar to this example:
