Stacey Aksman, Chinese Teacher at Plymouth High School, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to visit and study in China this summer. She will be in China from June 22 until Aug. 8 to learn about Chinese teaching methods and participate in the intensive language study.

The Fulbright Program is the largest international exchange program in the world. As a part of this world-wide program, the China-U.S. Fulbright Program is an official educational exchange between the People’s Republic of China and the United States "to provide opportunities for cooperation and exchange in educational fields based on equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit."

After one year of helping Plymouth-Canton Educational Park students become part of the Chinese speaking world, Aksman’s Chinese course has gained popularity and Chinese II has been added to the curriculum for next year.
