My Dear Disco performs at P-CEP – a 2003 Alumni Connection!
Listen to an interview (MP3 format, below) with My Dear Disco band member, Mike Shea, P-CEP Class of 2003. Shea returned to The Park to help promote the April 2010 concert performance. Shea talked with The Escape’s (WSDP 88.1 FM) Mary Hourani, P-CEP 2011.

Shea discussed the future event, but was quick to explain how the Park's many musical opportunities, especially Marching Band, helped influence him as a person and in part what My Dear Disco is today.

Shea tells Mary, "I'll never forget the first time I ever heard myself on the radio: on WSDP on the way to school in 2000. It was a Latin take on 'Stairway to Heaven' we recorded in a friend's basement to mini-disc with one microphone. I think it is so important that WSDP exists at P-CEP, and I'm really happy that I can be affiliated with it (and MDD)."

The Escape 88.1 (WSDP-FM) is pleased to present My Dear Disco in concert on Saturday April 17, 2010, at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, $15 at the door.

You can purchase tickets at the WSDP Offices, second floor at Salem High School through April 16, 2010. The concert is a fundraiser for WSDP and more information and tickets are available at http://881TheEscape.com

My Dear Disco delivers high energy, funky electro-rock and can be heard regularly on 88.1 FM the Escape. Joining them will be Plymouth-Canton’s own Good Luck Varsity and Serein (Sir-rain).
