Must I register in order to give online?

 Yes. To complete an online donation, it is necessary to register with give2schools.org.  Credit card numbers are NOT part of registration and are only required during the checkout process. The same account may be used for additional future donations.
(i.e. Registration is only required the first time.)

give2schools.org does not share customer information with any other organization or entity. No credit card numbers are stored.

How secure is my transaction?

 During the registration and payment process, industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is used to encrypt information you input. When payment information is submitted, the entire credit card number is transmitted to the appropriate credit card company during order processing, but after that transmission, your credit card number is discarded.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign out when finished using a shared computer. Sign out by clicking the "sign out" link on every page.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Online payment can be made by check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  If you would like to use American Express, please call EEF directly and donate via telephone (734) 416-2718.

Will I receive a confirmation or acknowledgment after contributing?

 Yes, EEF will send you an acknowledgement letter (.U.S. Mail) that serves as proof that a charitable donation was made to a 501(c)(3) organization.

When submitting payment information online (click the submit button only once) the resulting 'Thank you for your purchase' web page should be printed for your records.

Is my contribution tax deductible?

All donations to EEF are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. If you file a 1040 short form you cannot deduct charitable donations.

May I indicate a program or cause to which my contribution may be applied that is not on the list?

Yes.  If you do not see the specific program or project listed, you can either call the EEF office directly (734) 416-2718 and donate via telephone OR choose DONOR DIRECT for online donations.  When you enter your credit card information there is a space for SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS.  You can enter the project or program description in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS field.

My company offers to match charitable donations made by employees.  Does my donation qualify?

EEF is a 501(c)(3) organization and typically qualifies for company match donations.  Make your donation either online, via telephone or through the mail.  Send EEF your company's Donation Match Form and EEF will complete and file all the necessary paperwork.
