A First Class Visit

Marine Private First Class Katherine Thomas (Salem 2006) wrote to Dr. Fitzpatrick, 'When I have completed boot camp, be prepared for a visit.'  The day before Thanksgiving break, Thomas was able to describe her recent accomplishment to Fitzpatrick in person.

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (left ) recently visited the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board office to talk with district officials about school funding. She was accompanied by her Deputy Press Secretary, Megan M. Brown, a former student at Farrand Elementary School. Brown attended the school from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Plymouth-Canton Marching Band is Named State Champions

The Plymouth-Canton Marching Band received top honors for flight I at the 2009 Michigan Competing Band Association championship event held on Sat., Nov. 7 at Ford Field in Detroit. With a final score of 91.35, the PCMB won all three caption awards including Best Marching, and Best General Effect.

WSDP Student Honored with National Award

Canton High School junior, Sean Fitzpatrick, was honored with a John Drury High School Radio Award. North Central College in Naperville, Ill. sponsored the national high school awards. He received first place in the Best Newscast category for his anchoring of Newsfile at 5:30 p.m. on 88.1FM.
