RSS & Podcasts

 Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is also referred to as 'Internet Syndication,' 'Syndicated Content,' or 'Internet Broadcasting.' RSS is a method through which a person 'subscribing to a RSS feed' can receive specialized News, current headlines and in some cases audio/video files (enclosures). When a RSS feed contains an enclosure it is often referred to as a podcast.

 

Podcasts are audio and/or audio-video programs that can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device by subscribing to a 'broadcast' (Podcasting).
